Ray-Ray's New Room

So, Ray-Ray has been wanting her room painted since we moved in 3 years ago. When we moved from Magna, she saw us painting her room to get ready to move and asked if she could paint it bright colors, instead. We told her no, but that she could paint her new room however she wanted. (Probably not a good idea to let your children pick whatever colors they want since it most likely be a color you would NEVER choose.) So for her birthday this year, she asked if she could finally get it painted. Even with our concerns about color, she surprised me with her style, because her room really is pretty cute. Here is the experience:

The first swipe of color-Sky Blue for the ceiling

The next part: Lime Green for the trim

And the walls - Turquoise

A bright cheery room for our bright cheery girl!

High School Reunion

I really can't believe that it has been 20 years since I graduated high school - I mean I really can't believe it! It was a very strange thing to see everyone all "grown up" and yet acting the same as they did in high school. But it was also neat to talk to people that I didn't really socialize with in high school and yet we have plenty to talk about now. But, overall, it was very wierd! Here are some pics, even though you don't know anyone. The two ladies I'm standing with were girls I hung out with in high school and it was SO great to get with them again.

Ray-Ray's hard work pays off!

So here are some photos of activities that we've done lately.

Ray-Ray delivered papers along the Bountiful parade route and earned tickets to Lagooon!

She was SO excited!

19 Fabulous Years

(Our first Halloween as a married couple - married about 2 months)

I am so blessed to be in such a great marriage. I often wonder what I've done to deserve to be married to someone who listens to me talk-talk-talk, who holds my purse for me and doesn't even cringe, who buys me dessert just because, who never yells or demeans, who makes me feel like a beautiful woman, who makes me laugh, who doesn't correct me (much) when I don't speak correct grammar (even though he is an english major), who is incredibly patient with me, who appreciates all that I do, who notices when I cleaned some yucky job (like the shower), who gives the most heartfelt gifts, who loves to spend the day with me, who fulfills his work, church, and family obligations faithfully, who plays with our children, and who treats me like a queen! I don't know how I found and caught him but I thank my Heavenly Father for him every day! Happy Anniversary Honey!
